Description

The main functions of the Spanish Osteopaths Registry are:

  • To defend the practice of osteopathy in a regulated manner and that it is carried out by duly qualified professionals according to the criteria approved by the World Health Organization (WHO); by the European Standard UNE-EN 16686:2015 on “Healthcare Provision in Osteopathy”, and by the European Federation & Forum for Osteopathy (EFFO)
    .
  • Advocate for patients and ensure the best care is provided by duly qualified professionals.
  • Defend patients and ensure the best care for them, and that it is carried out by duly qualified professionals.
  • To facilitate the practice of Osteopathy as an independent and primary healthcare profession.
  • To facilitate the practice of Osteopathy as an independent health profession of primary intention.
  • Promote Osteopathy and its development in Spain.
  • To promote Osteopathy and its development in Spain.
  • Defend the interests of the Osteopaths associated with it.
  • Defend the interests of the Osteopaths associated with it.
  • Provide legal coverage to its members, as well as legal, tax, and labor advice.
  • Provide legal coverage to its associates, as well as legal, tax and labor advice.
  • Communicate to European and/or international bodies the requests and/or requirements of the osteopaths associated with it.
  • Communicate to European and/or international bodies the requests and/or requirements of the osteopaths associated with it.
  • Likewise, inform its members about any developments in osteopathy that are occurring internationally.
  • Transmit to its associates in the same way, the news in relation to osteopathy that happens at an international level.
  • Promote continuing education.
  • Promote continuous training.
  • Ensure compliance with the code of ethics described in its Statutes.
